Ultra-low field MRI: bringing MRI to new arenas

Conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is moving toward the use of stronger and stronger magnetic fields with 3T, and even 7 T systems being
increasingly used in routine clinical applications. However there is another branch of MRI, namely Ultra Low Field MRI (ULF-MRI) where the magnetic fields
during readout are several orders of magnitude smaller, namely 1–100 μT.
