The use of Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDTs) for the management of oncology cases is widespread, despite there being a paucity of quality evidence

of their cost-effectiveness. This article summarizes the results of a study carried out in a UK hospital to evaluate both the clinical impact and cost-effectiveness

of colorectal MDTs, and discusses the implications of the findings.
